The King of Power Pop celebrated Easter Sunday with BelloBar. With career spanning over 3 decades, Collins has earned the titles of both pioneer and veteran of the power pop. As a member in groups such as The Nerves, The Breakaways and The Beat. The Nerves, best remembered for co-writing 1978 hit ‘’Hanging on the Telephone’’ made famous by Blondie. His work has inspired generations of musicians that have come after him, most notably American Punk band Green Day. In September 2014 Collins released his album ”Feel the Noise” recorded in Detroit with a handful of local notables helping out —Nikki CorvetteDavid Shettler of the Sights and SSM plays the drums, Sights leader Eddie Baranek , and producer Jim Diamond

Collins’s forte is touring at ground level with as bare bones an operation as possible; these are shows for the everyday rock fan not big ticket shows that break people’s pocket. Collins knows who he is and what he can do, play balls to the walls power pop music to a crowd not more than ten feet away.
